Las Vegas Sands Owner Dislikes Online Gambling

Details have emerged this week surrounding Sheldon Adelson’s dislike of online gambling, and how he considers it to be “morally wrong” despite having made his billions from the industry.

In the statement issues this week Mr Adelson, owner of Las Vegas Sands and supporter of the Republican Party, made it very clear that he was firmly against legalizing online casinos in USA because of his concern over the moral dangers of allowing there to be “a casino in every home”. Oh, and there’s that annoying little fact that his revenues would decrease 20 percent as a result. But it’s a moral issue, honest.

Further to this, Adelson declared that he was personally approached by Brian Sandoval, the Governor of Nevada, where they discussed the legalization and in which Sandoval tried futilely to change Sheldon Adelson’s mind over the situation.

Regardless of any of this, Adelson’s opinion remains the same, strongly against online gambling for all of eternity. Luckily, it’s not up to Mr Adelson.
